Beginning in October, the 2018 Flu Shots will be available at both the Mesa and Gilbert AllKids Urgent Care locations. We aim to make the process smooth, easy, and as painless as possible!
ABOUT THE 2018 FLU SHOT
According to the CDC children, especially those younger than 5 years, are at higher risk for serious flu-related complications.
- The flu vaccine offers the best defense against getting the flu and spreading it to others
- Getting vaccinated can not only reduce flu illnesses but also doctor’s visits and missed school days
- You need a new flu shot every year because your body’s immune response declines over time and strains of the illness change year-to-year
- It takes about two weeks after the shot for antibodies to develop in the body, so getting the shot early in the fall is best; the flu season can last well into last spring each year
Getting your child the flu shot is an easy process with AllKids Pediatric Urgent Care. Our pediatric providers are experienced with administering care to children of all ages, and will safely administer the vaccine while making your child feel comfortable and safe. Both of our offices in Mesa and Gilbert are open from 12 pm to 10 pm daily and walks-in are always welcome! Flu shots are only $25 and can be submitted for reimbursement to your insurance.
For reimbursement: Go to your insurance carrier’s website and find their current reimbursement form. Fill out the form (most carriers allow you to do this online) and submit that, along with your receipt from AllKids Urgent Care.
