Rawhide Western Town & Event Center – An old western town filled with great shops, dinning, and entertainment! There’s even a live action cowboy stunt show!
Castles ’n’ Coasters – This amusement park right off the 1-10 is great for kids and kids at heart.
Golfland Sunsplash – A 2-in-1 amusement park, home to both a putt-putt golf course AND a splash park!
“Hole in the Rock” at Papago Park – A fun and easy hike for kids of all ages, with lots of beautiful scenery and interesting rock formations. Including the famous ‘Hole in the Rock’ that will make for some great pictures!
Pueblo Grande Museum & Archaeological Park – Located on a 1,500 year old archaeological site left by the Hohokam culture. Beautifully preserved piece of American history! A must do.
Halle Heart Children’s Museum – A visit to this museum in Tempe brings science alive for students in unexpected and unforgettable ways! Check out their event calendar or exclusive events and games the whole family will enjoy (Video Game Olympics, anyone?)
Heard Museum – Your visit to the Heard Museum in Downtown Phoenix includes 12 exhibition galleries, free guided tours, outdoor sculpture gardens, a renowned café, a contemporary art gallery and trading-post style shopping, plus much more. $18 adults, $7.50 students/ages 6-17, ages 5 & under free. Arizona Museum of Natural History – The Arizona Museum of Natural History takes you back to the age of dinosaurs and fossils! Guests will enjoy learning about archaeology, geology, history, art, and more through hands-on projects and exciting exhibits. Make sure you don’t miss visiting Dinosaur Hall!
Phoenix Children’s Museum – This museum is the perfect place for children to learn and play at the same time! Enjoy multiple exhibits that focus these five core areas: Arts & Culture, Early Learning Through Play, Health & Wellness, Environmental Awareness, and Cultivating Tolerance and Understanding. Tickets are $11 for all guests older than the age of 1.
Butterfly Wonderland – You have never been to a museum like this one! Guests learn all about these beautiful creatures through creative videos and images. Spend time in America’s largest Butterfly Pavillion, as over 3,000 butterflies flutter among the flowers and plants.
Cerreta’s Chocolate Factory – The VIP Factory Tour at Cerrata’s Chocolate Factory in Glendale is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth! For groups larger than 10, call 623-930-9000 to make a reservation. Tours available at 10am AND 1pm Monday through Friday. No tours on weekends.
Challenger Space Center – This museum offers an out of this world educational experience! View real meteorites, gaze at the four story tall galaxy mural, and walk through a replica of a space shuttle and control station. This is an experience the whole family will love! Hall of Flame Museum – Explore six amazing galleries and follow along in the catalogue describing each exhibit. This museum educates guests on all things firefighting- including the evolution of the fire truck and authentic firefighter uniforms! Adults: $7 / Students (6-17): $5 / Children (2-5): $2
i.d.e.a Museum – The i.d.e.a. Museum is the place to explore your imagination through design in art, science and technology! Enjoy interactive activities and arts and crafts that engage the creative side in all of us. Pack your own lunch and enjoy a little picnic in the Snackery. Tuesday through Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday: Noon through 4 p.m. / $8 per person for all guests over the age of 1.
